Management Information Systems
AMIT Consulting LLC has focuses primarily on architecting and developing MIS solutions
for small to medium clients with specific needs not deliverable with the MicrosoftTM
standard.
Founded by Cameron K. Brown, a Carnegie Mellon University
alumni with the most stringent of analytical training and experience, AMIT Consulting is devoted to delivering
robust, cost effective, flexible systems and applications for companies in all industries. We have never had
a dissatisfied client!
Our technical areas of expertise center in the development of web-based SQL solutions with advanced permissions
management allowing detailed allocation of user rights at the level of individual data objects. What this means
for you is that you are given the power and capability of control over exactly who can see, alter and create
such detailed components as an individual field in a given data record of a large database. The benefit? Reduced
costs in GUI development! How? By allowing the GUI developer to simply specifying a data inclusion without needing to
program different interfaces for different classes of users, or even specifying user rights for that interface. Of course,
programmatic overrides are available, as well as programmatic restrictions that keep tired programmers from missing
an important classification.

This is the external client access side of ICN's current implimentation. Additional modules
are in place for the Shipping, Accounting, Tracking, Sales and Management Departments on the
internal side. Data is currently synchronized in a uni-directional update push from inside
to outside. However, this will be upgraded to a mutual push and reconciliation to allow
rapid access for large amounts of datahandling internally, with external client ability to
create, edit and delete new shipments.
